At age 7 Quamere Brown, from Newark, NJ, is competing in his first full season in New Jersey Mini Gran Prix’s (NJMiniGP.com) MiniGP Class. In his first race he stood on the podium with a 3rd place finish in the 2010 season opener. When he’s off the podium it’s not for lack of trying. He’s had some early-race crashes but bounced back and charged through the pack in Rounds 2 and 3 for 7th and 5th place finishes.
Quamere is already aware of the importance of being prepared for competition. He trains for peak physical fitness between events and shows up on the grid with keen determination. And it pays—he consistently qualifies on the front row and regularly posts some of the weekend’s quickest lap times onboard his Honda NSR 50.
With a little better luck and a little more consistency, Quamere is sure to post more great results as the 2010 season progresses. Keep an eye on the Home Page for his most recent news!
Quamere’s favorite riders are Josh Herrin, Ben Spies and Nicky Hayden. His goals are to continue to work hard and become an accomplished rider. When the time comes, he wants the opportunity to ride on the world stage against the top riders.
